Avon Board of Education member Kevin Romanchok served as acting president since former Avon Board of Education President Susan Harrison resigned from her position in early July.

But at the Aug. 16 board meeting, the board members selected Romanchok to officially serve as president.

The board then appointed board member Scott Radcliffe to the vice president role.

In other board news, Heather Mahoney was officially sworn in as a board member at the Aug. 16 meeting. Mahoney will serve Harrison’s term until the end of the year. She will run for the remainder of the two-year term in the November election.
