Library’s 25thanniversary

The Avon Branch library opened the doors of its Harvest Avenue location 25 years ago. Celebrate from 6-8 p.m. Thursday with classical music selections by the Cleveland Winds Trio, local history displays, family activities and cake.

Fiber Art Group

The Fiber Art Group will meet at 11 a.m. Friday. Are you a knitter, crocheter, sewer, quilter, rugger or other type of fiber artist? Bring your ideas, tools and materials. All skill levels welcome.

Puppy Pals

Puppy Pals for children ages 5-10 will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Sit and read to a therapy dog for a 15-minute session.

Drop-In DIY

Drop-In DIY will be held through Saturday, during regular library hours. Swing by the library anytime this week to explore all things duct tape.

American Sign Language

An Introduction to American Sign Language will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Learn the basics.

Space Camp

Space Camp for families with children ages 2 and older will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Tech Club

The Tech Club for children ages 9 and older will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Explore programming robots and electronics in a fun, collaborative environment.

Astronaut Training Academy

The Astronaut Training Academy for ages 5-7 will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Waugaman Gallery. Complete all the tasks on the training checklist and receive your junior astronaut certificate.

Lakeshore Writers Group

The Lakeshore Writers Group will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. Published Avon lake author Jack Beltane hosts this monthly group where participants get to share their writing and receive feedback on the process.

Beach bracelet

A beach glass jewelry class will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Students will use a sterling silver bracelet to create their own bracelet with beach glass, pearls, crystals and a beach charm, all included in the $35 class fee.

Beach Blanket Book Club

The Beach Blanket Book Club will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Folger Home, 32770 Lake Road. June’s selection is “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman.

Garden club

The Playing in the Dirt Garden Club for ages 5-12 will meet at 3 p.m. or 7 p.m. Tuesday. Help plant, weed and harvest with local garden gurus from the Avon-on-the-Lake Garden Club.

Tree House Club

The Tree House Club for ages 8-11 will meet at 1 p.m. June 19 in DiscoveryWorks. Build and launch a rocket-powered LEGO car.
