Due to forecasted inclement weather, the opening ceremony for the city’s baseball and softball programs has been cancelled for tonight. A rescheduled date has not been announced.

When the new date is released by the Parks and Recreation Department, residents will be able to join Mayor Dave Gillock, the North Ridgeville High School choir and children of all ages for Opening Day ceremonies in the Shady Drive Complex. The event marks the start of another season of the North Ridgeville City Baseball/Softball Recreation Program.

The new concession stand will be dedicated, the choir will sing the National Anthem and the mayor will throw out the first pitch. There will also be games and fun activities for children of all ages.

Contact program coordinator Tracy Arendt at tracyarendt@yahoo.com or Ben Berghaus at BBergha@bgsu.edu with any questions.
