FAIRVIEW – Fairview Park High School Athletic Director Joe Dianetti announced Tuesday that the school would have two new head coaches heading into the upcoming fall season.

Roger Brooks and Lyndsay Moro were selected to take over both the varsity boys soccer team and the varsity girls tennis team respectively.

Prior to this move, Brooks had spent several years as an assistant at Fairview Park behind former boys soccer head coach Dave Snow, who stepped down at the end of last season. Brooks is also currently the principal of Saint Peter's School in North Ridgeville.

Dianetti said that following Snow's departure, the former coach suggested Brooks be the one to succeed him.

"The biggest search was to find who to replace Roger as assistant," Dianetti said. "We opened (the job) up, we posted the position and Roger was still the best candidate there."

Filling in Brooks' assistant role will be Matt Tolar, a teacher at the Parkview Early Education Center in Fairview. Snow will remain on staff in an assistive capacity as well.

This will be Moro's first high school coaching experience, though she has worked with youth tennis programs in the past during her time as a junior high teacher at Saint Raphael's in Bay Village. She will be taking the places of Co-Head Coaches Alondra Aguirre and Annie Fratzke, who also stepped down from their positions.

Moro will be assisted this year by long time Fairview tennis coach, Eric Korey.

"We wanted to get someone a little more established," Dianetti said on hiring Moro. "Get someone that can be around the kids a little more."

Girls Tennis' season gets underway Monday, August 13 at home against Lake Ridge, with the boys soccer season starting Friday, August 17 away against Lutheran West.
